Polyurethane, a high performance coating, is a great solution to protect your floor against damage, stains, chemicals, oils, and wear. Similar to epoxy floor coatings, they are easy to clean and long lasting. Polyurethane is more resistant to chemicals and other solvents when compared to epoxy. Polyurethane is also U.V. stable, meaning it will not yellow when exposed to small amounts of sunlight over time. Polyurethane can tolerate large temperature swings and handle humidity better than epoxy. Different finishes are available, from satin to very glossy.
